Dear English –speaking Friends !

This page is also made for my non-Austrian friends in this world to keep in touch and get news from my new adventure.
Wazzup now and what I’m gonna do… How everything started…

After Australia, Sweden and France I felt like leaving our western society and culture. I had enough of it – I needed a change.
As you all know I always wanted to do some volunteer-work after I finished school, preferable in Africa or South America. But unfortunately I realized that it’s not that easy to help other people. The right attitude and just the desire to help is not enough – either you have to be really rich or religious. I’m either of them. I don’t have enough money to take part in a great volunteer-project, which is in fact not more than an occupational therapy, nor I feel religious enough to go abroad with a Christian organisation (moreover I always hated the idea of converting other cultures as a missionary…)
So what to do?? After 6 month “thinking-time” in France as an au-pair, I decided that I have to do something now. If not it’s never gonna take part.
After being neglected by many volunteer organizations (either I was too young, too inexperienced or not too religious enough), I finally found a place as an English-teacher in a Buddhist monastery in Nepal. I got more and more information about Nepal and somehow I felt in love with this great country.
Although I probably don’t wanna teach English in this monastery in Pokhara (I don’t wanna be in a city), I found at least my new destination.
And for that I just did it. I just bought my tickets! And now I’m gonna fly to Kathmandu on the 9th of March !!

What precisely I’m gonna do there is not sure yet, but I set some objectives:

Getting to know another culture, people, religion…
New experiences, new stories, new faces...
Living a simple life, experience nature, hit limits...
Getting away from civilization and daily routine...
Finding many high mountains, spirituality and myself...
Living my adventure-Indiana-Jones-Dreams...
Last but not least: doing something useful- helping people!

So that's about it...
Please don't forget me, maybe write me some comments, think on me and see ya end of June again!
Take care and lots of love to all of you !
